How can I clear my Cookies and Cache?

🧹 Occasionally, you may need to clear your browser's history and cache to resolve issues with ProctorFree — such as an exam that won't launch, a blank screen, or outdated content. Select your browser and operating system below for step-by-step instructions.

Google Chrome (Windows)

Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner of Chrome.
Select Delete browsing data...
On the Basic tab, set the Time range drop-down to "All time."
Ensure "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are checked.
Click Delete data and restart your browser.

Clearing cache and history in Chrome (Windows)

Google Chrome (Mac)

Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner of Chrome.
Select Delete browsing data...
Set the Time range drop-down to "All time."
Ensure "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" are checked (You may need to click "Show More")
Click Delete data and restart your browser.

Clearing cache and history in Chrome (Mac)

Safari (Mac)

Click the Safari menu in the top left corner, and select Clear History.
Select All History from the drop-down in the pop-up window
Click Clear History

Microsoft Edge (Windows)

Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top right corner of Edge, and select Settings.
Click Privacy, search, and services in the left sidebar.
Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
Set the Time range to "All time," and check "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files."
Click Clear now and restart your browser.

Clearing cache and history in Edge (Windows)

Firefox (Windows)

Click the menu button (☰) in the top right corner of Firefox.
Select History, then click Clear Recent History...
Set the Time range to clear drop-down to "Everything."
Make sure Cookies and Cache are checked.
Click OK and restart your browser.

Firefox (Mac)

Click the menu button (☰) in the top right corner of Firefox.
Select History, then click Clear Recent History...
Set the Time range to clear drop-down to "Everything."
Make sure Cookies and Cache are checked.
Click OK and restart your browser.
