            How do I install Firefox ESR?

            A recent update to Firefox, Firefox Update 52, has removed support for NPAPI plugins which impacts the ability to load Java, Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Acrobat. For more information about our support browsers please review the Which Internet Browser Should I Use article.

            Installing Firefox ESR - Windows
            *If you already have the standard version of Firefox installed Firefox ESR will install as an update replacing your current version of Firefox.

              1. The download may take a moment to complete
            1. After the download completes it may launch automatically or require that you click on the completed download to start the installation process
            2. Complete the installation by clicking through the installation prompts
            3. After the installation has been completed successfully check your Firefox version number to ensure compatibility

            Installing Firefox ESR - Mac
            *If you already have the standard version of Firefox installed you will need to uninstall it prior to installing Firefox ESR, see our guide below.
              1. The download may take a moment to complete
            1. After the download completes click on the downloaded file to mount the installer
            2. Once the installer is mounted drag the Firefox icon into the Applications folder
            3. After the installation has been completed successfully check your Firefox version number to ensure compatibility

            Uninstalling Firefox - Mac
            *This step is only required for Mac users who have a currently unsupported version of Firefox running on their computer.
            1. If Firefox is currently running, right click (two finger click/CTRL + Click) on the application in your dock and select 'Quit'
            2. Remove the application from your dock by right clicking (two finger click/CTRL + Click) on the application
              1. Select Options
              2. Select Remove from Dock
            3. Open Finder and navigate to the Applications folder
            4. Locate the currently installed version of Firefox within your Applications folder
            5. Right click (two finger click/CTRL + Click) on the Firefox application within your Applications folder
              1. Select Move to Trash
            6. Right click (two finger click/CTRL + Click) on the Trash icon in your dock
              1. Select Empty Trash
              2. Confirm the action by clicking Empty Trash in the pop-up window
